France will go into their third game of Group B against Australia seeking to maintain their perfect run at the Paris Olympics. They top the group with four points while Australia are third on three. Here’s our preview of the match as well as a prediction.

Australia will be seeking a win here to strengthen their bid for a knockout round spot. Sandy Brondello’s charges defeated Canada 70-65 on matchday two for their first win of the competition. They had begun the tournament with a 75-62 loss to Nigeria.

This run began last year in EuroBasket qualifying. At the Olympics, they’ve won both their matches with considerable ease. Les Bleues saw off Canada on matchday one and then Nigeria with both matches ending in similar 75-54 score lines. Gabby Williams is averaging a team-high 13 points per game while Marine Johannes is putting up 11 points from the bench.
