Australia welcomes the old enemy England to the Optus Stadium in Perth for this International Friendly. This fixture is always a heated encounter and no doubt this match will be no different. The home team will be desperate for a win after they ended the November tour with three consecutive losses. The Wallabies have shown that they are different team when they play at home and this was never more evident than last year when they beat the World Champion Springboks twice in the Rugby Championships. Australia will have to be at their best as they have lost their last eight matches against England with their last win coming in 2015. They have included their overseas stars Marika Koroibete, Quade Cooper and Samu Kerevi in their squad so they will be at full strength for this match.

England come into this series under real pressure after a string of disappointing losses. They ended the Six Nations in third place and were equal on points with fourth placed Scotland but they the better points differential. England have lost their last three matches but it was the 52-21 mauling at the hands of the Barbarians in the last match that set the alarm bells ringing. Beleaguered Coach Eddie Jones will need to immediately turn his team’s fortunes around with the World Cup just a year away. The selection of experienced campaigners like the Vunipola brothers and Danny Care could prove to be a masterstroke as they can lead from the front.
