An inter-conference matchup in the NBA on Saturday sees the Atlanta Hawks hosting the red-hot Golden State Warriors at State Farm Arena. The Hawks sit seventh in the East at 33-36 while the Dubs are up to sixth in the West at 41-29. Read on for our match prediction.

Atlanta returns home after splitting a win and a loss in a short two-game away trip. Their last outing saw them blowout a Lamelo-less Hornets team on the road 134-103, with Trae Young dropping 31 points and shooting 5-9 from deep.

The win snapped a two game losing run for the Hawks who now sit just three games below .500. However, with 6.5 games separating themselves and the sixth-placed Pistons, the Hawks will almost surely have to navigate the play-in tournament if they are to make the playoffs.

As for the Warriors, they sit just one place above their opponents in the opposite conference although possess a far superior record. Golden State’s 117-114 home victory over the Raptors on Thursday marked the team's second in a row and their ninth win from their last 10 overall.

Acquiring Jimmy Butler at the trade deadline has supercharged the Dubs and has catapulted them into being serious contenders. Since the arrival of Jimmy Buckets, the Warriors have posted a 16-2 record.
