The Dallas Mavericks will make the trip to the State Farm Arena on Tuesday to face the Atlanta Hawks in the NBA. The Hawks (7-10) are seventh in the Eastern Conference, while the Mavs (9-8) are ninth in the West. Check out our match prediction below. 

The Atlanta Hawks will be hoping to avoid a third consecutive defeat in this match after they were fairly comfortably beaten by the Chicago Bulls 136-122 on the road over the weekend. 

Jalen Johnson and Trae Young led the charge with 25 points apiece, while as a team Atlanta shot just 45% from the field and made 10 of their 34 attempts from beyond the arc. 

The Hawks are a top-10 team on offence, averaging 115.4 PPG, but their defence has been almost non-existent at times, allowing 120.5 PPG - 28th in the league this term.

Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks saw their four-match winning streak brought to an abrupt end when they were beaten 123-118 by the Miami Heat in overtime last night. 

With Luka Doncic still out, Kyrie Irving top-scored for Dallas with 27 points and PJ Washington added 21, but the team managed just four points when it mattered in O/T, which allowed the Heat to pull away.

The Mavericks are scoring 0.8 points more than Atlanta on average this season, and are significantly better on defence, allowing just 110.7 points per game (ninth in the NBA).
