Atlanta Braves vs San Francisco Giants Prediction & Betting Tips - MLB
by Joseph King | in MLB Predictions
The Atlanta Braves return home to SunTrust Park after a successful six game road trip to take on the San Francisco Giants in this MLB NL clash. The defending champions Atlanta wrapped up their series against the Cubs with a 6-0 victory yesterday, putting them at four wins and two losses on the away trip and eight wins from their last 10 in total. The win sees the Braves record move up to 38-29 in the NL East, putting some space between themselves and third-place Philadelphia although still trailing the Mets by five and half games. For the visiting Giants, this game comes after a three game away series against the Pirates where San Fran won the first two but missed out on the sweep, losing the third game by a score of 4-3. Both teams have been in good form and are two of only five clubs in the league to have won at least seven of their last 10 games.
Taking the mound for the Giants is Logan Webb, the 25-year-old righty in his fourth season who has posted a solid 6-2 record with an ERA of 3.43 so far this season. Webb is coming off an impressive seven inning shutout performance in his last start albeit against a weak Royals lineup. The Braves send out Max Fried who has been having another strong season with a 7-2 record and a 2.90 ERA. The 28-year-old lefty will be looking to bounce back after giving up four runs in five innings against Washington his last time on the hill in a game that the Braves would eventually win. Fried had previously been lights out in the three starts before the Nats game, giving up only two total runs in 20 innings of work.

Our Atlanta Braves vs San Francisco Giants Prediction
We’re going to back the Braves to start this four game series off with a win. We give them the pitching advantage here with Fried taking the mound although both starters are having solid seasons. The real key to this game is the effectiveness of the Braves bats against righties and they should be able to knock in a few runs off Webb, whose only shutout start came against one of the worst teams in baseball in the Royals.
All tips are fully researched and given in good faith, but profits cannot be guaranteed.
