The Atlanta Braves and New York Mets face off for the third of a four game series at SunTrust Park in this classic NL East rivalry. This is an important division series as we head ever closer to the start of the 2022 MLB postseason with these two teams battling it out for the top spot. The Mets hold the division lead with their 75-42 record, the second best mark in all of baseball, second only to the Dodgers. Atlanta is not far behind though, as the defending champions look to close the gap on their longtime rivals. The Braves have a 72-46 record putting them only 3.5 games behind the Mets and comfortably in a Wild Card spot if they are unable to ultimately overtake New York.
