Atlanta Braves vs Minnesota Twins Prediction & Betting Tips - MLB
by Joseph King | in MLB Predictions
The Atlanta Braves will look to make it four wins in a row when they take on the AL Central leading Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Atlanta’s 50 wins is the most in the National League and puts them top of their division with a 6.5 game lead over second-place Miami. They won two out of three against the Reds in their previous series and started strongly in this one, winning 4-1 against Minnesota in game one. The 2021 World Series champions have ripped off 11 wins from their last 12 games and have been lighting up the scoreboard in the process. The Braves have now put up an impressive 92 runs on this 12 game run for an average of 7.67 scored per game. Taking the mound for Atlanta in this one will be Bryce Elder who is 5-1 on the year with a strong ERA of 2.40. Elder is in an excellent run of form coming off pitching seven innings of shutout baseball against the Phillies in his last start. The 24-year-old has also allowed only one earned run in his last 13 innings of work.
The Twins will be hoping for a strong response when they take to the field for the fifth of a nine game road trip. So far, they’ve split the first four contests 2-2 which includes winning two out of three against Detroit in their previous series. Minnesota has won five of their last 10 games overall and have posted a losing record away from home. Their winning percentage drops to 44.7% as the road team compared to 57.5% at home. The Twins are sitting at a 40-40 record which sees them holding a 1.5 game lead over the second-place Guardians in their division. They will send out Joe Ryan to the mound who has been having a superb year with an 8-4 record and 2.98 ERA through 15 starts. Ryan pitched a complete game shutout in his last appearance, giving up only three hits and striking out nine in a 6-0 win vs. the Red Sox.

Our Atlanta Braves vs Minnesota Twins Prediction
This matchup sees two pitchers in fine form squaring off. While the pitching matchup appears to be somewhat even, the Braves have a clear edge on the offensive side. They’re arguably the best hitting team in the league with their excellent underlying statistics. The Twins, on the other hand, rank in the bottom half for most offensive statistics. Adding in the fact that they perform notably worse on the road and we like the home team to get the win here. Our Atlanta Braves vs Minnesota Twins prediction is for the Braves to win
