Ashleigh Barty vs Jil Teichmann Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Cincinnati Open

Top seeded Ashleigh Barty takes on unseeded Jil Teichmann in the final of the Western & Southern Open. Barty has already won four singles titles this year and a win here will further strengthen her place at the top of the world rankings. The Australian has had wins at the Miami Masters and Wimbledon as well as the Yarra Valley Classic and the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. After her early exit in the women's singles at the Olympics, Barty has had wins this week over Heather Watson, 14th seeded Victoria Azarenka (losing just two games), ninth seed Barbora Krejcikova and in the semi-final, Angelique Kerber. The top seed is yet to drop a set in this tournament. 

Jil Teichmann has beaten three seeds on her way to this final. The Swiss player began this tournament down at 76th in the world but has climbed to 45th in the live rankings. Winning this tournament would see her go up another ten places and surpass her highest ever ranking of 40th. That placing was achieved this year after she reached the last four in tournaments held in Adelaide and Dubai. Teichmann couldn't maintain that for though with three wins in her next ten matches. Her form has returned this week though with victories over Sorana Cirstea, Bernardo Pera, Naomi Osaka, Belinda Bencic and Karolina Pliskova. It's been a great return to form for Teichmann but this looks a step too far for her with Barty in top form this week. Back Barty to win in straight sets.
