Ashleigh Barty vs Barbora Krejcikova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Cincinnati Open

World number one Ashleigh Barty faces French Open champion Barbora Krejcikova in the last eight of the Western & Southern Open. The winner takes on either Petra Kvitova or Angelique Kerber. Barty is the top seed for this tournament, while her opponent is seeded ninth. In terms of ranking points earned this year, these are the top two players with Barty having a good lead over Krejcikova. Barty has won four singles titles this year, including Wimbledon and the Miami Masters. The Australian had a disappointing Olympics losing in the first round and this is her first tournament since then as she prepares for the US Open. This week has seen her beat Heather Watson and then 14th seeded Victoria Azarenka for the loss of only two games.

It's been an incredible past 12 months for Barbora Krejcikova. Best known as one of the top doubles players in the world and won a gold in the women's doubles at the Olympics this year. This time last year the Czech was ranked 118th in the world. Fast forward 12 months and here she is ranked 10th in the world and with three titles won this year. That includes of course the French Open title that she won at Roland Garros. Her other titles came in Dubai and last month in Prague. Krejcikova did a bit better than Barty at the Olympics but lost in the last 16 to eventual gold medalist Belinda Bencic after winning the first set. This is her first tournament since Tokyo and Krecikova has had wins over Daria Kasatkina, Dayana Yastremska in straight sets and then coming from behind to beat Garbine Muguruza in three sets. Krejckikova has had one previous singles match against Barty, losing to her in straight sets at Wimbledon this year.
