Ashleigh Barty vs Angelique Kerber Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Wimbledon Championships

We could end up with the top two seeds battling it out in the women's singles final at Wimbledon. Top seed Ashleigh Barty takes on former Wimbledon champion and 25th seeded Angelique Kerber in the first semi-final with the winner taking on either Aryna Sabalenka or Karolina Pliskova. Barty may be world number one and has won three titles this year, but her record in Grand Slams needs improving. Only one title has been won (2019 French Open) and before this tournament, she'd never got past the fourth round at Wimbledon. Two grass court titles have been won by Barty in the past, both in England. Her form in this year's Wimbledon tournament has been solid, especially against Krejcikova and Tomljanovic.

Not until the start of the grass court season has  Angelique Kerber shown any real form this year. The 2018 Wimbledon champion is bidding to get into her third Wimbledon final. The German is a former world number one and winner in all of three Grand Slams. Recent form has seen Kerber lose in the first round of three of the last four Grand Slams. It's a different story on grass though and this is her fourth Wimbledon semi-final. Kerber won the Bod Homborg title on the way to Wimbledon and in the last two rounds has beaten Coco Gauff and Karolina Muchova. Barty looks in the better form and can get through to her first Wimbledon final, it might take three sets though
