Arthur Rinderknech vs Alexei Popyrin Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Libema Open

Arthur Rinderknech is up against Alexeii Popyrin in the first round of the Libema Open. Waiting for the winner in round two is either sixth seed Tallon Griekspoor or unseeded Mikael Ymer. Rinderknech has received a wild card to play in this Dutch grass court tournament. The French player is currently 85th in the world rankings which is well below his career high of 42nd achieved last year. It's been a disappointing year for him with only five of his 15 ATP Tour matches won in 2023. He's only gone deep in one singles tournament this year. That was when reaching the last four of a Challenger Tour event held in Pau. He'll be hoping that this year might see him win his first match at Wimbledon after two first round losses. He's had one previous match against Popyrin, winning in last year's Australian Open. This is their first match on grass.

Alexei Popyrin also has a poor Wimbledon record with only one win in three main draw matches. He starts this grass court tournament ranked five places below his opponent. The Australian has won 12 ATP Tour matches this year but lost the saem number. The year began with him ranked 113th so at least he's going in the right direction. He's still got some way to get back to his career high of 59th. He's reached one ATP Tour quarter final in Adelaide this year plus a couple of Challenger Tour events. His grass court season didn't get off to a good start with a loss to Luke Saville (ranked 415th at the time) in a close match that included two tie-breaks. Last year saw him reach two Challenger Tour grass court semi-finals so he has got talent on this surface.  We go for him to get the win over Rinderknech.
