Arthur Fils vs Jaume Munar Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Hamburg Open

Arthur Fils is seeded fifth in the clay court Hamburg Open. The Frenchman faces unseeded Jaume Munar in the first round. There's no Alex de Minaur in this tournament and that's good news for these players as both lost to the Australian at Wimbledon.

The winner of this match will be up against either Laslo Djere or Zizou Bergs in round two, both being unseeded. Fils is up to 28th in the live rankings so is looking good to be seeded at next month's US Open tournament..

He has had success on clay this year with a title win on the Challenger Tour two months ago. The quarter-finals were reached in Barcelona (he beat de Minaur that week) and before that, he made it to the last eight in Rio.

This is his first match against Jaume Munar who is 59th in the live rankings. The Spaniard lost in the second round at Wimbledon (Fils reached the fourth) but he will appreciate this return to clay courts. He lost in round two at Roland Garros this year, de Minaur again being responsible for his exit.

He's also had success on the Challenger Tour with a clay court final reached in Aix-en-Provence in late April/early May.  Four of his last six clay court matches on the ATP Tour have ended in defeat. His best form in 2024 on this surface came in Santiago in February when getting to the last eight.

He didn't beat any top 100 ranked players that week though. We tip Fils to get the win here.
