Arthur Fils vs Alexander Zverev Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Halle Open

Second seed Alexander Zverev bids to reach the Halle Open semi-finals. To do so, he must beat the unseeded Arthur Fils with possible semi-final opponents including fifth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz. Zverev has only ever reached two grass court finals and both have been in this tournament. He was the runner-up in both 2016 and 2017  His best run in this tournament since then was the semi-final he made last year. The world number four remains second in the ATP Live Race with only Jannik Sinner ahead of him. This is his first grass court tournament of the year and he'll be hoping for a more successful Wimbledon this year. He's been playing there since 2015 and is yet to reach a quarter-final. So far in Halle, he's beaten qualifier Oscar Otte (after losing the first set on a tie-break) and Lorenzo Sonego in straight sets. 

Arthur Fils has to beat Zverev for the first time if he wants to make the last four. His only match against the German was last year and he lost in straight sets. That was played on clay and he will hope for better on this surface. The Frenchman is 37th in the latest ranking list. He is up to 33rd in the live rankings and a win here will see him rise to 30th so could yet be seeded at Wimbledon. Fils has only played at that Grand Slam once and was lost in the first round last year. He played in last week's Libema Open and was beaten in the second round by Ugo Humbert. He's played two unseeded players in this tournament and beaten Tomas Machac and Dominik Koepfer, both without dropping a set. This is tougher and we go for Zverev to win in straight sets.
