Argentina vs France Prediction & Betting Tips - Test Matchs
by Devesh Jaganath | in Rugby Predictions
Argentina and France will face off their second and final Test of the month at the Estadio José Amalfitani in Buenos Aires on Saturday night. Les Bleus won the first Test 28-13 in Mendoza last weekend.
Felipe Contepomi got his managerial tenure with Argentina off to a losing start as he saw his side fall to a new-look France in Mendoza last weekend. The side is now in danger of conceding their first series loss against Les Bleus since 1998.
Captain Julian Montoya and centre Matias Orlando were the hosts' try scorers in the first Test. Contepomi had made nine changes to the side that was fielded in the World Cup playoffs but still managed to maintain a good level of experience in the squad. Pablo Matera will earn his 100th cap if he features this weekend.
Argentina remained in the tie until the final 13 minutes of the match when Theo Attissogbe took the scoreline out of reach with a try on debut. The result marked Los Pumas’ fifth consecutive defeat to France.
Meanwhile, Fabien Galthie raised a few eyebrows when he announced that he would be bringing 22 uncapped players for this tour. However, so far, the French head coach’s decision has paid off as his side are on the verge of completing a clean sweep in South America.
After securing victory in Mendoza last week, Les Bleus headed to Uruguay in midweek and came away with a solid 43-28 victory over Los Teros. Baptiste Coulloud and Posolo Tuilagi both scored two tries apiece in the victory.
Les Bleus now return to Argentina for their final match of the month and are looking to bring up their 30th victory in the last 34 Tests against Los Pumas.
It should be noted, though, that they will be without three key players including Oscar Jegou and Hugo Auradou, who were arrested in the week. Melvyn Jaminet has been sent home due to suspension for a controversial social media post.
As a result, France have now been made the underdogs for this match but cannot be ruled out entirely.

Our Argentina vs France Prediction
Owing to the off-field issues France have experienced in the last couple of weeks, they have been made the outsiders by bookmakers. However, based on their performances here in South America, it is difficult to write them off.
Indeed, they have a host of new players but many of them are well-experienced in the Top 14 and the team is led by skipper Baptiste Serin, who has 45 caps under his belt. We are expecting an even contest this week, and we like the looks of a 4.5-point headstart for Les Bleus. Our Argentina vs France prediction: France +4.5!
