Angelique Kerber vs Caroline Garcia Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open
by Steve Ashfield | in Tennis Predictions
Not since 2014 has Angelique Kerber reached the fourth round of this tournament and the 12th seed takes on the seventh seed Caroline Garcia for a place in her first quarter final at the French Open for only the second time. The German has yet to drop a set in this year's tournament but had to battle hard to get past Kiki Bertens in the third round winning both sets via a tie-break. Her form on clay has gradually been improving this year highlighted by a quarter final appearance in Rome.
Caroline Garcia will have her home crowd cheering her on and the seventh seed has only dropped one set on her way to the fourth round. After getting as high as number two in the doubles rankings, Garcia has been getting better and better in the singles division. She reached the quarter finals here last year losing to Karolina Pliskova and started this year with a run to the fourth round in the Australian Open before being beaten by Madison Keys. Form on clay this year has seen her reach the semi-finals in Stuttgart where she beat Elina Svitolina and Maria Sharapova followed by another last four appearance in Madrid and a quarter final in Rome. Garcia has the form on this surface to get the win over her opponent.

Our Angelique Kerber vs Caroline Garcia Prediction
Caroline Garcia has been very consistent during the clay season with a couple of semi-final appearances. Her opponent is seeded five places below her and this isn't her favourite surface with only one previous quarter final here. Go for Garcia to get the win and reach the last eight for the second year in a row.
