Seventh seed Andy Murray will seek his first win against unseeded Aslan Karatsev on Saturday at the Zhuhai Championship. The winner of this second-round match will then play either second-seed Cameron Norrie or the qualifier Marc Polmans. Andy Murray is in strong form at the moment. He won his opening-round match in straight sets against Mo Yecong to register his fifth win in his last six fixtures. The three-time Grand Slam champion has extended his season record to 30-13 with 13 of his victories coming on hard court. Aslan Karatsev defeated Murray in their only other previous meeting. This was last season in the final of the Sydney Classic. He will hope to double his advantage in this series and take a step closer to probably his first title of the season. Karatsev had to come from a set down to get the better of Matteo Arnaldi in the first round. The match lasted for more than three hours with the first two sets requiring tiebreakers. As a result of the victory, Karatsev moved up four places in the live ranking to 59th. The 30-year-old is having a topsy-turvy season and has compiled a 26-18 record. He has won the same number of matches, seven, on hard court as he has lost.
