Andrey Rublev vs Yannick Hanfmann Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open
by Daniel Ngulu | in Tennis Predictions
World number 101 Yannick Hanfmann seeks to extend his amazing Rome Masters debut when he faces sixth seed Andrey Rublev in the fourth round on Tuesday. Rublev will be eyeing a quarterfinal slot in Rome for only the second time. The Russian is in his fifth appearance in the competition – his best result came two seasons ago when he reached the last eight. He will feel confident of setting a new personal record this time after an excellent campaign on clay so far. The world number six has won 12 of the 14 matches he has played on clay. This form has seen him secure his first title of the season, with his success in Monte Carlo. He also made it to the final in Banja Luka but was unfortunate not to win. In total, Rublev has played three finals this year and will feel confident of making it to another. He is yet to drop a set in his two matches in Rome. In the last round he beat 27th seeded Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina in straight sets.
Yannick Hanfmann's debut in Rome has so far gone well, and he has been outstanding. The German started off in the qualifying rounds and has five wins with only one set dropped. He upset ninth seed Taylor Fritz in the second round in straight sets. Hanfmann will be confident of causing another top-10 seed upset against Rublev. This form has boosted his world ranking immensely as he is now up to a new career high of number 85 in the live ranking. Hanfmann, who is one of three qualifiers left in the competition, has spent the majority of his season playing on clay and has 22 wins from 30 matches and will hope the run continues past this round. He's had one previous match against Rublev, losing in the Australian Open but that was on a hard court not this clay surface.

Our Andrey Rublev vs Yannick Hanfmann Prediction
Hanfmann has been superb in this tournament and causing an upset against Rublev isn't beyond him. However, we feel playing more than eight hours of tennis in Rome will have a bearing on him. That isn't the state he'd want to be in against a player of Rublev's quality. Our prediction for Andrey Rublev v Yannick Hanfmann is thus for Rublev to win.
