Andrey Rublev vs Nick Kyrgios Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP US Open
by Steve Ashfield | in ATP US Open Predictions
There aren't any odds on Nick Kygrios breaking a racquet, on or off the court during this game. The odds would be fairly short though giving his reputation. It's been the usual kind of week for the Australian with some outbursts on court and controversial comments off court. He is in good form though and is up to 30th in the world rankings. He won the recent Citi Open in Washington and for once just about had his temperament under control. As long as a certain umpire isn't in charge of his matches, he's not quite losing his temper as much as before. He has won both of his matches in this tournament in straight sets. He's never previously made it past the third round of the US Open but has a good chance of doing that here and could face 24th seed Matteo Berrettini in the last sixteen.
Andrey Rublev is ranked 43rd in the world and so far in this tournament has beaten the eighth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the first round. He won that in four sets but had an easier win in the second round. He led Gilles Simon by a set before his opponent retired injured. Rublev has only once made it past the third round of a Grand Slam event. That just happened to be at this tournament in 2017 when he reached the quarter finals before losing to Rafael Nadal in straight sets. On his way to the last eight, Rublev beat David Goffin and Gregor Dimitrov, both top ten seeds. Rublev reached the quarter finals of the recent Cincinnati Masters beating Daniil Basilashvili and Roger Federer. This looks a great match and the suggested bet is on over 3.5 sets to be played in the match.

Our Andrey Rublev vs Nick Kyrgios Prediction
This is one of the matches of the third round. Both players are in good form and could go deep in this tournament. Nick Kyrgios is a recent tournament winner but still unpredictable because of his poor temperament. He really is the 21st century Ile Nastase/John McEnroe. Rublev has already beaten a top ten seed in this event and had a short match in the second round. This could go either way and a bet on over 3.5 sets is the suggested bet.
