Andrey Rublev vs Matteo Arnaldi Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP National Bank Open

Andrey Rublev caused a big shock in the last eight when beating top seed Jannik Sinner. Now unseeded player Matteo Arnaldi stands between him and a place in the final. Will Rublev get another win? Our match prediction will reveal all.

Rublev is seeded fifth in this hard court Masters tournament and is up to sixth in the live rankings. He's also eighth in the ATP Live Race so a place in the Tour Finals is going to be a key target in the coming months.

He began this year in excellent form with a title win in the Hong Kong hard court tournament. A series of quarter-finals were reached but struggled for results during the clay and grass court seasons. A return to hard courts has worked wonders for him.

Rublev made it to the last eight in Washington and has gone one round further in Montreal. He's had wins over Tomas Martin Etcheverry, Brandon Nakashima and then top seed Jannik Sinner, with only the world number one taking a set off him.  

The Italian is up 17 places to  a career high 29th in the live rankings thanks to this run in Montreal. He's met Rublev twice and it's 1-1 but he lost their only match on a hard court. A win here will take him into his first ATP Tour final.

The 23-year-old is in his first ATP Tour semi-final of the year. His only other quarter-final appearance had been achieved seven months ago. He had a tough first round match and needed to come from behind to beat Mackenzie McDonald.

Since then, the Italian has beaten 16th seed Karen Khachanov, Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (losing the first set but seeing his opponent retire in the decider) and then Kei Nishikori. He's in form but we tip Andrey Rublev to win in straight sets.
