Andrey Rublev vs Jack Draper Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Mutua Madrid Open

Andrey Rublev is the sixth seed in the Madrid Masters. He takes on unseeded British player Jack Draper in the second round with possible third round opponents being Dan Evans, Jenson Brooksby and 17th seed Roberto Bautista Agut. Rublev's 2022 is rather like the one he had last year. Again the first four months have seen him be hugely successful with three titles being won. He'll hope history doesn't repeat itself and his form dips in the second half of the year. Rublev has won titles in Marseille, Dubai and on clay in Belgrade. He beat Novak Djokovic in the final of the latter tournament. His clay court record is good with three titles won to date.

Jack Draper is the world number 121 but that's 142 places higher than at the start of the year. This time last year he was down at number 323 in the rankings. The 20-year-old has been busy winning titles this year on the Challenger Tour circuit. He's won four of them this year but also had success on the ATP Tour as well. He beat Gilles Simon in the Miami Masters before losing to Cameron Norrie. He has already had one big win in this tournament with a win over Lorenzo Sonego in the first round without losing a set. In terms of ranking points earned this year, Daper is in the top 50 and he's fourth in the NextGen rankings for players aged under 21. This is a tough task though and the tip is for Rublev to win in straight sets.
