Andrey Rublev vs Hubert Hurkacz Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Shanghai Masters

Few if any predicted we'd see a Shanghai Masters final between Andrey Rublev and Hubert Hurkacz. That's what we have though with Rublev being the fifth seed and the 16th seeded Hubert Hurkacz. Rublev began this tournament ranked seventh in the world but is up to fifth in the live list. Winning this Shanghai Masters title will take him up to a career high fourth. He's also fifth in the Live ATP Race and beating Hurkacz will confirm his place in the end-of-season play-offs. Rublev is in only his fourth Masters final and the only previous success was in Monte Carlo earlier this year but that was on clay and this is a hard court tournament. The Russian has made it to the final without losing a set. He's 2-2 in previous meetings with Hurkacz but 2-1 up on hard courts. Rublev has won his last two against his opponent.

Hubert Hurkacz was in 17th position at the commencement of the Shanghai Masters. He's now up to 13th and will end the event in 11th if beating Rublev. It's the same situation in the Live ATP Race but he's left it a bit too late to get into the Tour Finals. Hurkacz is in his third Masters final and like his opponent has won one in the past. That was on a hard court when winning in Miami two years ago and beat Rublev in the last four. The Pole won the Marseille hard court title seven months ago and got to the last four in Cincinnati in August. In Shanghai he's dropped two sets on his way to the final and had to come from behind to beat unseeded Fabian Marozsan in the quarter finals. Rublev looks to be in the better form and can win the title.
