Andrey Rublev vs Fabian Marozsan Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Umag Open

Top seed Andrey Rublev takes on unseeded Fabian Marozsan in the last eight of the Croatia Open. The scheduled seeded player that can be faced in the last four is fourth seed Francisco Cerundolo. Let's analyse and form and make a prediction for the outcome of this match.

Rublev is playing his final tournament before the Paris Olympics and will appreciate some time playing on clay. His form has been disappointing in recent months and he failed to make an impact at either Roland Garros or Wimbledon.

He's down to ninth in the ATP rankings but a win over Marozsan will take him above Casper Ruud into eighth place. Tuesday saw him beat unseeded Camilo Ugo Carabelli in straight sets, though he did lose nine games in that match. 

This is his first match against Fabian Marozsan who was ranked 49th in the latest list but was as high as 36th in May.  The Hungarian is also in the Olympic tennis tournament that begins next week. Marozsan is up to 46th after his first round victory over unseeded Alexander Shevchenko.

That was a marathon match for the Hungarian. He dropped the middle set and had to go to 10-8 in a third set tie-break to win the match. Like his opponent he's not been in the best of form and that win ended a run of four successive defeats. 

Last week saw him lose in his first match in the Hamburg clay court tournament, being beaten in straight sets by Holger Rune. Five of his last six matches on clay had been lost before he beat Shevchenko. We tip Rublev to win this in straight sets.
