Andrey Rublev vs Cameron Norrie Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

Fifth seeded Andrey Rublev aims to boost his chances of making the ATP Tour Finals. In the first round of the China Open in Beijing, he faces unseeded Cameron Norrie. The second round will see the winner face either Ugo Humbert or Lorenzo Sonego, both unseeded. Rublev is currently sixth in the overall rankings and fifth in the Live ATP Race. It's tight for quaification places with the top eight making it to the Tour Finals. This is an ATP 500 outdoor hard court tournament, so plenty of points on the line this week. Rublev reached the last eight in his last singles tournament. That was the US Open and he still hasn't made it into a Grand Slam semi-final. The Russian hadn't reached a hard court quarter final since he made it to the final in Dubai six months ago. 

Cameron Norrie is ranked 17th in the world and a place lower in the Live ATP Race. He'll need some stellar performances in the weeks ahead if he's to get to the Tour Finals. The Brit was as high as 11th in February and has won one title this year. That was on clay when winning the Rio tournament, beating Carlos Alcaraz in the final. His current form on hard courts is poor with three successive losses. Only two of his last nine matches have been won and one of those wins was over a player ranked 237th at the time. He's 2-2 in previous meetings with Rubev, all played on hard courts. The most recent match was this year at Indian Wells and won by Norrie. Rublev is in the better form now and can get the win.
