Andrey Rublev vs Alexander Bublik Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Wimbledon Championships

Seventh seeded Andrey Rublev attempts to reach the Wimbledon quarter finals for the first time. He takes on 23rd seed Alexander Bublik with the winner facing either second seed Novak Djokovic or 17th seeded Hubert Hurkacz in the last eight. Rublev has made it to the quarter finals of all the Grand Slams bar this grass court event. His best performance here is getting to this fourth round stage two years ago. If he does get past Bublik, he'll be in his eighth Grand Slam quarter final but he's yet to win one. He began this tournament ranked seventh in the world snd remains in that position in the live rankings. The Russian played one grass court warm-up event and that was in Halle. He got to the final but lost in three sets and it was Bublik who beat him.  That was the first time Rublev has lost to Bublik on the ATP Tour, having previously beaten him three times on indoor hard courts. So far in this tournament his wins have included victory over Aslan Karatsev (after losing the first set) and another four set win over David Goffin.

Alexander Bublik was ranked a career high 26th at the start of these Wimbledon Championships. He's down a place in the live rankings but could rise as high as 21st if beating Rublev. This is his best performance at Wimbledon beating the two third round appearances in both 2021 and 2022. The 26-year-old beat five players ranked in the top 25 to win the Halle grass court title. Those wins included victpries over Alexander Zverev, Jannik Sinner and Borna Coric before beating Rublev in the final. A win here will see him in the fourth round of a Grand Slam event for the first time in his career. In this tournament, he's only lost one set in three matches. That was when losing the first set to Mackenzie McDonald in round one. This should be a tight match and we go for over 40.5 games to be played with a tie-break or two more than likely.
