Andrey Rublev vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

Andrey Rublev is seeded fourth for the hard court China Open in Beijing. In the second round of this tournament, he takes on unseeded Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. Can he make it to the last eight? Here's our match prediction.

Rublev is the world number six and seventh in the ATP Live Race. Another good run here will improve his chances of making it into the end-of-season ATP Tour Finals. 

It's been an up and down year for the Russian. He started the year very well and won a hard court tournament held in Hong Kong in January. He continued to be consistent before a bad dip of form on clay and grass.

Back on hard courts, Rublev has improved with a run to the final in Montreal and the last 16 of the US Open. This is his first tournament since that Grand Slam. In round one he beat Pablo Carreno Busta in three sets.

The first set of that match was won by Rublev without a game being dropped. Busta fought back to level the match but Rublev ran out a 6-4 winner in the decider. 

To reach the last eight, Fokina has to beat Rublev for the first time. He's lost all four of their previous meetings, just one on hard courts. He hasn't won a set in their last two matches but the last three matches have seen four tie-breaks played, 

The Spaniard is ranked 64th in the latest list and is four places higher in the ATP Live Race. He had lost his last three matches before beating Zhizhen Zhang in the first round of this tournament.

Fokina also needed three sets to seal the victory, losing the middle one. We go for over 20.5 games to be played in this match.
