Top seed Anastasia Potpova bids to win her first WTA Tour title since 2023. To do so, the Russian must beat unseeded Lucia Bronzetti in the final of the indoor hard court Transylvania Open. Here's our match prediction.

This is Potapova's fourth WTA Tour final and her third on this surface. Only in Linz two years ago has she lifted the trophy. The 23-year-old has made it to this title decider without dropping a set and not facing any seeded players.

Wins have come against Julia Grabher, Victoija Golubic, qualifier Ella Seidel and lucky loser Anastasia Sasnovich. This run in Cluj has taken her to 32nd in  the live rankings. Potapova has won all four of her previous matches against Bronzetti, two on hard courts.

Lucia Bronzetti is in her first WTA hard court final. Her only title success was achieved on clay in 2023. It's been an eventful week for the Italian, reaching the last four with wins over Simona Halep, third-seeded Peyton Stearns and seventh-seeded Elisabetta Cocciaretto.

Saturday's semi-final was a brief affair as she led fifth seed Katerina Siniakova 4-0 in set one and her opponent then retired. This run to the final has taken her up to 56th in the live rankings. We tip the in-form Potapova to win this match.
