Only two seeds remain in the Transylvania Open and the top seed Anastasia Potapova is one of them. The Russian faces lucky loser Aliaksandra Sasnovich in the semi-finals of this indoor hard court tournament. Here's our match prediction.

Anastasia Potapova is 32nd in the live rankings and has gone deep in a tournament for the second successive event. Last week saw her get to the last eight in Linz but she's gone one round further this week in Cluj, Romania.

A win here will take the 23-year-old into her first final since winning the Linz tournament two years ago. To reach this semi-final, Potapova has beaten Julia Grabher, Victorija Golubic and qualifier Ella Seidel without losing a set.

When Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost in the qualifying rounds, it looked as if her week in Cluj was over. However, she was reinstated as a lucky loser and has beaten sixth seed Jessica Bouzas Maneiro, qualifier Maria Stakusic and fourth-seeded Anhelina Kalinana after losing the first set.

Getting past the top seed will see Sasnovich in her first hard court final since 2022,ten years after her first. Five finals have been reached altogether but she’s yet to win a title. This run has taken her to 112th in the live rankings.
