Ana Konjuh vs Robin Anderson Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA French Open

Ana Konjuh is ranked 144th in the world but is a player to watch out for. The Croatian takes on Robin Anderson who is ranked 70 places below her. The gap wasn't that wide recently though as Konjuh went up 44 places in the latest world rankings list making a total of 97 places climbed in just over a month. All a massive improvement on her ranking of 476 at the start of this year. Konjuh was in fact ranked 20th four years ago but then needed elbow surgery so fell down the rankings. Let's explain why such huge jumps have been made. She made a slow start to the year but then reached the last 16 in Miami, beating Madison Keys and  Iga Swiatek on the way. Her form has got even better on clay with a last eight appearance in Istanbul, defeating Qiang Wang who made the final in Parma last weekend. While that was happening in Italy, Konjuh made it to the final in Belgrade, losing to Paula Badosa. 

Konjuh is a short-priced favourite to get past Anderson and reach the second round as she bids to reach the main draw for the first time since 2018. Anderson has spent most of the year on the ITF circuit. Highlights have included losing a final to Katie Swan in Orlando but only six of her 14 matches before this week have been won. Only one of her last six matches have been won since that good run in Florida. Go for Konjuh to win this in straight sets.
