Alison Van Uytvanck vs Emma Raducanu Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Wimbledon Championships

Emma Raducanu was virtually unknown this time last year. Now she's the tenth seed at Wimbledon but has a difficult first round match against Alison Van Uytvanck. Since her last 16 appearance here last year and then winning the US Open, life hasn't been too easy on court for Raducanu. It's just so difficult to back her to win a match until her fitness is sorted out. Three times since the US Open Raducanu has retired in a match. There have been other occasions when she was able to continue but her chances of winning were diminished by her fitness. Raducanu retired in her one grass court match in Nottingham this year. Only one of her last five matches has ended in victory for her and it's hard to back her with form like that.

Alison Van Uytvanck was ranked 46th at the time the draw was made for this tournament. Three years ago she reached the last 16 at Wimbledon beating Garbine Muguruza and Anett Kontaveit before being beaten by Daria Kasatkina in three sets. Last year saw her give third seeded Elina Svitolina a tough match, eventually losing in three sets in their first round match. While Raducanu has failed to complete a match on grass this year, her opponent is playing her fifth tournament of the year on this surface and they have gone rather well. Van Uytvanck won the ITF tournament held in Surbiton and then got to the quarter finals in the event held in the Netherlands. Another grass court title was won in a WTA 125 tournament held in Italy before a last 32 exit in Bad Hamburg to Amanda Anisimova. Before beginning her grass court season it'd been a disappointing year. Back on this surface though it's gome much better and she can get the win here.
