Algeria vs Switzerland Prediction & Betting Tips - Handball World Championship

Algeria's hopes of making it into the knockout stages of the Men's World Handball championships finally died on Friday. A heavy loss to Norway saw them eliminated and their final game is against Switzerland. It's an important game as a win will see them avoid finishing bottom of the group. Algeria'did at least make it out of their preliminary group. Only just though, they lost to Portugal and Iceland but had a one-goal win over Morocco who filled the bottom spot. That left them at a distinct disadvantage in this main round group. Points against other qualifying teams are carried forward and Algeria didn't have any. This group had already seen them be beaten by France and then in a must-win match, they were beaten 36-23 by Iceland to end their qualification hopes. 

Switzerland are also on their way home after this game. They finished third in their preliminary group, ahead of Austria who lost all three of their matches. Switzerland lost to Norway by six goals but then nearly beat France. They lost that game 25-24 and like Algeria, went into the main round with no points carried forward. A 20-18 win over Iceland revived their qualification hopes but then they lost 33-29 to Portugal and that's confirmed their elimination. They should be able to return to Switzerland with a third win of these championships. They beat Iceland, who hammmered Algeria and put in a much better performance against Norway. Go for the Swiss to win this game and be ahead at both half and full time.
