Alexander Zverev vs Zhizhen Zhang Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Hamburg Open

Top seed Alexander Zverev attempts to reach the semi-finals of the Hamburg Open for the fourth time. He won this clay court tournament last year and meets eighth seed Zhizhen Zhang in this year's quarter-final.

The winner will be up against either fourth seed Francisco Cerundolo or unseeded Pedro Martinez in the last four. Zeverev is the world number four and a place higher in the Live ATP Race. He can't go any higher on either list even if retaining his title.

Zverev is in his ninth ATP Tour quarter-final of the year. His only singles title in 2024 came on clay in the Rome Masters. He also got to the final at Roland Garros in June. So far this week in Hamburg, he's beaten Jesper de Jong and Hugo Gaston, needing three sets to beat the latter.

Zhizhen Zhang is 34th in the most recently published ranking list. His run to this quarter-final has taken him up to 31st which is a new career-high for the Chinese player. Beating Zverev will see him rise to 28th in the live list.

This is his second clay court quarter-final of the year, the other being in Rome in the tournament eventually won by his opponent. This week has seen him beat Thiago Seyboth Wild and Flavio Cobolli. Both players were unseeded and defeated in straight sets.

This is a lot tougher and we go for Zverev to win in straight sets.
