Alexander Zverev vs Pedro Martinez Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Hamburg Open

Alexander Zverev is the top seed in the Hamburg Open and faces unseeded Pedro Martinez in the semi-final. The winner will be up against either third seed Sebastian Baez or fifth-seeded Arthur Fils in Sunday's final.

Zverev is in the semi-finals of this clay court tournament for the fourth time. He won this title last year and a win over Martinez will take him into his third clay court final of the year. He won in Rome and was the runner-up at Roland Garros.

The German began this tournament with a straight sets victory over qualifier Jesper de Jong with only four games being lost. It was tougher in round two as he had to come from behind to get the better of unseeded Hugo Gaston.

In Friday's quarter-final, the world number four beat the eighth seed Zhizhen Zhang in straight sets, dropping seven games. 

Pedro Martinez was ranked 49th in the latest list. This run to the semi-finals has taken him up to 43rd. The Spaniard is attempting to reach his second ATP Tour clay court final of the year, the other being in Estoril.

His form has slipped a bit since then but he's bounced back well this week. That was shown in round one when beating the sixth seed Matteo Arnaldi.

Round two was a lot harder against qualifier Ugo Blanchet. He won the first set but then failed to win a game in the second. Martinez fought back to win the deciding set 7-5. Another tough match followed in the last eight. 

The first set was lost to fourth seed Francisco Cerundolo, winning just one game. Again he battled back and only dropped five games in the next two sets. We tip Alexander Zverev to win this match in straight sets.
