Alexander Zverev vs Nuno Borges Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Italian Open

Third seed Alexander Zverev is again going well in the Italian Open. He's through to the fourth round (last 16) and takes on unseeded Nuno Borges. Seeded opposition will be faced in the last eight, either the eighth seed Grigor Dimitrov or 11th seeded Taylor Fritz. Zverev won this outdoor clay court title in 2017 and lost in the final the following year. The German also made it to the semi-finals in 2022 and a win here will take him into his fifth quarter-final in Rome. The 27-year-old is ranked fifth in the world but a place higher in the Live ATP Race. One clay court quarter-final has been reached by Zverev this year, that being in the BMW Open. To get to this fourth round, he's had two straight sets wins over unseeded pair Aleksandar Vukic and Luciano Darderi.

Nuno Borges is now 45th in the live rankings and that's a new career-high for him. A win over Zverev will take him into his third ATP quarter-final of the year. It'd be his second on clay after getting to the last eight in Estoril. The quarter-finals of the Challenger Tour held in Cagliari was also recently reached. It's gone well for him in Rome where he had never previously made it past round two. Wins have come over Pedro Martinez (after losing the first set), 15th seeded Alexander Bublik (without dropping a set) and on Sunday, the qualifier Francesco Passaro. He lost the first set but won the next two, both via tie-breaks. His run looks like ending here and we go for Zverev to get the win in straight sets.
