Alexander Zverev vs Laslo Djere Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Hamburg Open

World number 17 Alexander Zverev will take on 38th-ranked Laslo Djere in the final of the ATP Hamburg Open on Sunday. These players have met twice in the past, with Zverev currently leading 2-0. While the German has been ultra-consistent this year, this will be his first final appearance for the season. He made it to three consecutive semi-finals a couple of months ago in Geneva, Halle, and Roland Garros, then a quarter-final at the Bastad Open this month. Here in Hamburg, Zverev has looked incredible and has not lost a single set in his four matches. That included wins over Alex Molcan, Maximilian Marterer, Luca Van Assche, and most recently, Arthur Fils in the semi-final. Zverev is now 32-18 for the year and 19-7 on the clay. He will be heavily backed to claim his first title of the year in this one. 

Laslo Djere will be making his second final appearance of the year in this match. However, his previous final came on the Challenger circuit back in May in Cagliari, where he came up just short of Ugo Humbert, losing after the third set. Since then, it’s been much more difficult for the Serbian as he has failed to get past the third round of the next four tournaments he has played, including a first-round exit at Gstaad last week. It is worth noting, though, with his run in this tournament and his third-round appearance at Wimbledon, Djere has improved his ranking from 70th in May to inside the top 40 at present. The Serbian only dropped one set in this competition, in the second round against Guido Pella, while overcoming Zhizhen Zhang and number three seed Lorenzo Musetti in the third round. While he will be the underdog in this match, he cannot be counted out.
