Francisco Cerundolo and Alexander Zverev will face off in the fourth round at the Madrid Masters on Tuesday. These two meet for the third time, with the winner facing Jakub Mensik or Alexander Bublik in the quarter-finals. Read on for our prediction of the match.

Two-time Madrid champion Zverev has welcomed the clay season with open arms after a difficult start to the year. Last week he triumphed in his second clay event, winning the ATP 500 in Munich.

He carried the same run here, beating Spaniards Roberto Bautista-Agut and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. He won both in straight sets and comes into this one confident of getting a first-ever win against Cerundolo.

Cerundolo is equally enjoying his time on clay. The only difference from Zverev is that he doesn’t have a title yet this season. He has, however, been to a final - in Buenos Aires.

Facing Zverev will be his toughest match at Madrid, having beaten Harold Mayot and Francisco Comesana in the first two rounds. He will be confident going into this game, having bagged two wins in two meetings with Zverev.

Both of their meetings were on clay, a surface Cerundolo enjoys playing on. Their latest clash was in Buenos Aires this year, which Cerundolo won in three sets. The first was in Madrid last year.
