Alexander Zverev vs Dominik Koepfer Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Australian Open

Alexander Zverev is the sixth seed for the 2024 Australian Open. The German takes on unseeded Dominik Koepfer for a place in round two of this hard court Grand Slam. For the victor, their second round opponent will be either Kwon Soon-woo or the qualifier Lucas Klein. Zverev has made an impressive start to the new year and was the key factor in Germany winning the United Cup earlier this month. He played five singles matches and only lost to Alex de Minaur. Wins came against Hubert Hurkacz, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Lorenzo Sonego and Adrian Mannarino. His wins in that tournament took him up to sixth in the world rankings. The German reached the semi-finals of this Grand Slam in 2020 and the last eight the following year  He has beaten Dominik Koepfer in both of their previous meetings and their only match on hard courts was won by Zverev in straight sets.

Dominik Koepfer is 62nd in the live rankings. This is his first ATP Tour event of the year. His only tournament in 2024 so far has been a Challenger Tour event held in Canberra and the German lost to Jakub Mansik in the final. Koepfer is bidding to reach the second round of this tournament for the third time. He didn't play here last year and failed to win a main draw match in the other three Grand Slam events. This is a tough first round match for him and we tip Zverev to beat him in straight sets.
