A new champion will be crowned when Alexander Zverev takes on Daniil Medvedev in the final of the Paris Masters. Alexander Zverev caused the big shock on Saturday when beating Rafael Nadal in the semi-finals. He's in fantastic form at present having won his last two tournaments. Both were held on a hard court surface in Cologne and now Zverev bids for a hat-trick of tournament victories. He must love this time of the year as after this tournament, he defends the ATP World Tour Finals that he won last year. One day he might do the same in a Grand Slam but has got close this year with a loss to Dominic Thiem in the US Open final. Zverev beat Nadal in straight sets on Saturday and the fourth seed has only dropped one set on his way to this final. Third seeded Daniil Medvedev had failed to make it past the second round of the Paris Masters before this week. His toughest match on route to this final was in the third round. He had to go to three sets to get past Australian Alex de Minaur. An impressive win over Diego Schwartzman followed (just four games lost) and then he defeated Milos Raonic in his semi-final. That proved to be a tougher game for him but he still won in straight sets, the second going to a tie-break. He has struggled in his past matches against Alexander Zverev, losing five out of six. All those matches have been on this surface and of the two held indoors, both were won by Zverev. He's the player in the best form at present, go for him to win this final.
