Alexander Zverev vs Christopher Eubanks Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Geneva Open
by Nella Wagah in Tennis Predictions
A second-round match pitting third seed Alexander Zverev and unseeded Christopher Eubanks will be the major highlight at the Geneva Open on Tuesday. Alexander Zverev is back in Geneva for the first time since winning the tournament in 2019. He romped to the title in his debut tournament, his 12th at tour level at the time. This allowed him to maintain his position in the ATP top five. Four years later he arrives ranked 27th and struggling with his form. Zverev has 14 wins and 13 losses from the 27 matches he has played. This up-and-down form has been precipitated by struggles with his fitness as he continues to recover from an ankle injury sustained last season. He arrives in Geneva after his fourth-round exit at the Rome Masters. Zverev became the only player under 30 years to claim 350 career wins during the Madrid Open.
Christopher Eubanks is making his debut in Geneva. He started the tournament by defeating the wildcard Benoit Paire in straight sets in the first round. This match was also his debut on clay this season. The American isn’t comfortable playing on clay but will hope his first-round win sparks a run here. Eubanks has alternated between the tour and challenger circuits this season. He has a record of 20 wins and 11 losses. His win over Paire moved him up three places to number 72 in the live ranking. The two vie for a place at the quarterfinals to play either Wu Yibing or Marco Cecchinato.
