The last 16 of the Australian Open sees sixth seed Alexander Zverev take on the 19th seeded Cameron Norrie. The winner goes ahead to a quarter final against either the second seed Carlos Alcaraz or unseeded Miomir Kecmanovic. It's already been a big year for Zverev who is the current world number six. after beginning the year a place lower. It's early days in the Live ATP Race but the German is currently top of that ranking list. That's because of this run to the fourth round here but also an excellent run of form when helping Germany win the United Cup. Zverev has won seven of his eight singles matches this year with the only loss being to Alex de Minaur. In this tournament, he's had some problems, especially in round two. He trailed quaifier Lukas Klein two sets to one. Two tie-breaks had to be won to advance to round three. His round three opponent was Alex Michelsen who he beat in straight sets.

Cameron Norrie caused a surprise on Saturday when knocking out the 11th seeded Casper Ruud. That four set win took him into the last 16 of the Australian Open for the first time in his career. It's also his first time in round four of a Grand Slam since the 2022 US Open. The Brit was ranked 22nd at the start of this tournament but is up to 19th in the live rankings. Norrie also had problems against a qualifier in round two. He lost the first couple of sets to Giulo Zeppieri but won the next three for the loss of only eight games. Norrie has only won two of his six previous matches against Zverev. He won their first two matches but the last success was in 2014. We tip Zverev to get the victory here.
