The fourth round at Indian Wells sees sixth seed Alexander Zverev take on the tenth seeded Alex de Minaur. This is the round of 16 and the winner will book a quarter final match against either second seed Carlos Alcaraz or unseeded Fabian Marozsan. This match between Zverev and de Minaur is a real battle of the giants in terms of 2024 form. Zverev is fourth in the Live ATP Race (based on ranking points this year) with de Minaur in third positon. Alex de Minaur is in the fourth round of this outdoor hard court tournament for the third time. He has won one title this year winning the recent Acapulco outdoor hard court tournament. His record in Grand Slams and Masters events needs improving. He's only reached one Masters final and just one last eight appearance in a Grand Slam four years ago. The Australian has reached two finals this year and beat Zverev in the United Cup. He's won two matches in this tournament with only eight games lost.

Zverev lost to de Minaur in January but leads him 6-2 overall and won four of their six matches played on outdoor hard courts. The German went on to lead Germany to United Cup success and won four of his five matches. Since  then he's made it to the last four of the Australian Open. He led Daniil Medvedev two sets to love but ended up losing the match. A last four appearance was also achieved in Los Cabos. This tournament has seen him win win both of his matches in straight sets. This fourth round match could go either way and we go for over 22.5 games to be played.
