Alexander Zverev vs Alejandro Davidovich Fokina Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

Eighth seed Alexander Zverev has no seeded players between him and the China Open semi-finals. If he can beat Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina, the German will then face either Nicolas Jarry or qualifier Matteo Arnaldi in the last eight. Zverev began this tournament ranked tenth in the world and seventh in the Live ATP Tour Race. He needs to finish at least eighth on that list to qualify for the Tour Finals and that is looking extremely likely. The 26-year-old is in top form at present having won the title in Chengdu last week. Before that he made it to the last four in Cincinnati and the US Open quarter finals. In his last 15 matches he's only been beaten by Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz. The first round of this hard court tournament saw him have to go to three sets to defeat unseeded Diego Schwartzman.

Zverev will not need reminding that Davidovich-Fokina beat him in Toronto last month and only lost three games. The world number 25 also beat Casper Ruud that week and eventually lost in the last four. His form since then hasn't matched up to those achievements and arrived in Beijing having lost four of his last five matches, the only win coming against a player ranked 112th at the time. This week has so far seen him beat qualify Zhou Yi for the loss of just four games. Zverev is in better form than when they last met and he can make it into the quarter finals.
