Alexander Shevchenko vs Karen Khachanov Prediction & Betting Tips - Moselle Open

Third seed Karen Khachanov takes on unseeded Alexander Shevchenko in the last eight of the Moselle Open in Metz. No seeded players stand between Khachanov and the final with potential semi-final opponents being Luca Van Assche or wild card Pierre-Hugues Herbert. The Russian is the highest remaining seed in this indoor hard court tournament. Khachanov is ranked 15th and but for time off court due to injury he might have qualified for the Tour Finals. This is his third consecutive quarter final appearance and in September he won a title in Zhuhai. One match has been played in Metz so far this week, a straight sets win over Constant Lestienne. He'll be hopeful of at least reaching the final in Metz.

Alexander Shevchenko was ranked a career-high 63rd at the start of this tournament. He's improved on that and is now up to 60th in the live rankings. He's having a strong finish to the season and recently got to the last four in Basel. That tournament saw him beat Taylor Fritz and then lose in three sets to eventual champion Felix Auger-Aliassime. He has had success on the Challenger Tour winning two tournaments this year, one in a hard court event. This week has seen him win two matches to win the last eight. It was a struggle in the last round as he had to go to a final set to get past Lucky Loser Mate Valkusz. This is his first match against his opponent and we tip Khachanov to get the win.
