Alexander Shevchenko vs Chun Hsin Tseng Prediction & Betting Tips - Challenger Genoa Open

Top seed Alexander Shevchenko and the qualifier Chun Hsin Tseng meet yet again in 2023, this time at the AON Open on Thursday. The two will battle in the second round with the winner playing either fifth seed Thiago Monteiro or the qualifier Lorenzo Rottoli next. Alexander Shevchenko has struggled with his form lately and will hope to change this here. He had to come from a set down to defeat the wildcard Marcello Serafini in three sets in the first round. The win ended a three match losing run for the Russian who is making his debut in Genoa. Shevchenko defeated Tseng in their first encounter earlier this year in March in Sanremo. This was on clay, a surface he has been good on so far this season. Shevchenko has compiled a 32-27 record in 2023 with 16 of those victories coming on clay. The 22-year-old has won two challenger titles this year with one coming on clay. He is currently back to his career high ranking of number 83 in the live ranking.

Chun Hsin Tseng is also making his debut in Genoa. He defeated fellow qualifier Federico Iannaccone in straight sets in the first round. Tseng dominated the match, his third in a row, and lost just two games. He has been in absolute superb form in the tournament and is yet to drop a set. The Taiwanese number four is now up 15 places in the live ranking to number 342. Tseng has struggled to get going this year and has lost more matches than he has won. He has compiled a 15-22 record and before arriving here had lost three in a row. On a positive note though is that the majority of his victories have come on clay. Tseng has compiled a 10-14 record on clay and has won six of his last 10 matches on the surface.
