Wild card Richard Gasquet takes on unseeded Alexander Bublik in round one of the Open 13 Provence in Marseille. The winner will be up against either second seed (and defending champion) Ugo Humbert in round two. Here's our match prediction.

Alexander Bublik is the world number 48 but up a place in the live list. He's reached one quarter-final this year, reaching that stage in Montpellier. He lost to Aleksandar Kovavevic and then last week lost to Jakub Mensik in Rotterdam.

Three of his five matches this year have been lost. In the Australian Open, the 27-year-old was beaten by Francisco Cerundolo in the first round.  He has a good record in this indoor hard court tournament with two semi-final appearances, most recently in 2023.

Richard Gasquet is at 128th in the latest ranking list. The 38-year-old has also made it to the semi-finals in Marseille but not since 2017. Six of his last eight matches in this tournament have been lost.

The Frenchman is playing in only his second main draw of the year. His previous best in 2025 was making it to the second round in Montpellier at the end of January. Only four of his last 12 matches have been won and we tip Bublik to get the victory here.
