Alexander Bublik vs Marin Cilic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Finals

Seventh seeded Marin Cilic faces unseeded Alexander Bublik in the second round at Queen's Club, London. Cilic has been climbing back up the rankings this year. He began 2022 in 30th position but started this week in 17th place. He still has a way to go to get back to his career high ranking of third four years ago. This year has seen him reach three semi-finals and that includes the recent French Open. Now he turns his attention to grass courts and it's a surface he has enjoyed success on, making it all the way to the Wimbledon final in 2017. He's twice won this title and been beaten in two other finals. Cilic had to go to three sets to get through to the second round. He lost the middle set in his win over Britain's Liam Broady. Winning this match could take him into a third round tie against Jack Draper. He's had two previous matches against Bublik and won them both. The two were both played in the Rome Masters on clay.

Alexander Bublik began this week ranked 37th in the world. He's up to 36th in the live rankings but that might just get him a seeding at Wimbledon with players absent for various reasons. Bublik has won one tournament this year, being successful in an indoor hard court event held in Montpellier in February. He hasn't built on that though and in the next 11 tournaments didn't get past the last 32. Back on grass, he reached the last 16 in Stuttgart last week beating Dennis Kudla before losing in straight sets to Andy Murray. Bublik hasn't got the greatest of grass court records. He's reached one ATP Tour final on the surface three years ago but has never made it past the third round at Wimbledon. Round one at Queen's Club saw him beat Lorenzo Musetti. He won the first set 6-3 and his opponent then retired. Go for Cilic to continue his good form and get the win here.
