Alexander Bublik vs Flavio Cobolli Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Beijing Open

Eighth seed Alexander Bublik faces unseeded Flavio Cobolli in round one of the hard court China Open. Will we see a seeding upset? Here’s our match prediction.

Bublik is 27th in the latest ranking list and 28th in the ATP Race. In the latter ranking list, he’s just one place and 28 points ahead of his opponent.  He was as high as 17th in June of this year after an impressive start to 2024.

The Montpellier hard court title was won, and the final reached in Dubai. His form has dipped since then though. Two of his last three losses have been to Juncheng Shang, including in Chengdu last week.

Six of his last seven matches have ended in defeat and he’s won just two of his last nine on hard courts.

Flavio Cobolli is the world number 32, a place below the career-high he set last month. He didn’t play last week and most recently had a win and a loss in his two Davis Cup singles matches.

Before that, he made it to the third round of the US Open and the last 16 in Cincinnati where he beat Tommy Paul. He’s also had recent wins over Ben Shelton and Felix Auger-Aliassime.

He’ll want to recapture the form that saw him get to the final in Washington last month. We go for Cobolli to win this match.
