Second seed Alex Michelsen begins his campaign in the indoor hard court Next Gen Finals in Saudi Arabia. He takes on fellow-American Nishesh Basavareddy in his first round-robin match. Will we see an upset? Here's our match prediction.

This isn't your ordinary tennis tournament because only four games are needed to win a set. It's a best-of-five sets match and also in this round-robin group are Luca Van Assche and Juncheng Shang.

Michelsen is the world number 41 and that's a career-high for the 20-year-old. This is his last chance to win this tournament as it's for the top players aged 20 and under. The American last played a tournament in November and reached the semi-finals in Metz.

This year has also seen him reach two ATP Tour finals in Newport and Winston Salem. His best Grand Slam performance came in the Australian Open where he reached the last 32.

Nishesh Basavareddy is a year younger than his opponent and  a career-high 138th.  The seventh seed has mainly played on the Challenger Tour this year.  He clinched his place in these championships after winning the Challenger Tour event held in Puerto Vallarta.

That was his second title of the year with four other finals lost. The American lacks experience at this level and we tip Michelsen to win in straight sets.
