Alex Michelsen has already won this round-robin group in the Next Gen FInals. He takes on Juncheng Shang in his final group match and his opponent has lost both of his matches so far. Here's our match prediction.

Last year saw Michelsen lose all three of his matches in this tournament. It's gone much better for the world number 41 this year with two wins. Wednesday saw him come from behind to beat Nishesh Basavareddy by three sets to one. Two of those three sets were won by a 4-3 tie-break.

He continued his good form with a victory over Luca van Assche on Thursday. It was almost a carbon copy of his first match. The first set was lost but he won the next three and again two tie-breaks were played. He’s already won this group and qualified for the last four.

Juncheng Shang has lost both his matches in this round-robin group. Wednesday saw him beaten by Luca van Assche. He lost that match by three sets to one and his problems continued on Thursday when losing to another player ranked outside the top 100. Shang won the first set against Nishesh Basavareddy but then lost the next three with only five games being won. He has struggled with illness this week.

We tip Michelsen to win this and over 23.5 games.
