Alex Michelsen vs Aleksandar Kovacevic Prediction & Betting Tips - ATP Newport Open

2023 finalist Alex Michelsen is going well again in this year's Hall of Fame Open in Newport. He's the third seed this year and takes on unseeded fellow American Aleksandar Kovacevic in round three of this grass court tournament.

With top seed Adrian Mannarino losing in round two, no seeded players stand between Michelsen and the final in Newport. Michelsen is 82nd in the live rankings but was 21 places higher in the latest published list.

He's lower in the live rankings as he has all those points to defend from reaching last year's final. The American is in his second grass court quarter-final of the year, the other being in Mallorca. His one match in this tournament saw him beat unseeded Maxime Cressy in straight sets.

Aleksandar Kovavecic is now a place above Michelsen in the live rankings. He's risen ten places thanks to this run to the quarter-finals of the Hall of Fame Open. He had a nightmare time on this surface last month losing all three of his matches. 

He wasn't in good form on clay before that has bounced back this week in Newport. He's had wins over Harold Mayot and in round two, the seventh seed Arthur Rinderknech in three sets, losing the middle one and going to 7-5 in the final one.

There's been one previous match between these two players. That was in Geneva this year on clay with Michelsen winning in three sets. We go for Michelsen to get another win over Kovacevic.
