Alejandro Tabilo caused a big shock on Sunday when beating Novak Djokovic in straight sets. That took him through to the fourth round of the Italian Open and the 29th seed now faces 16th seeded Karen Khachanov for a place in the last eight. Tabilo is up to 29th in the live rankings and that's another career high for the Chilean. He's having the best year of his career and is now 19th in the ATP Live Race. He's won two titles already this year. The first was on hard courts in Auckland and on clay he won the Challenger Tour event held this month in Aix-en-Provence. He was also the runnner-up in Santiago and a semi-finalist in Bucharest. Before beating the world number one, Tabilo defeated Yannick Hanfmann, also in straight sets.

Karen Khachanov is in the fourth round of this outdoor clay court Masters event for the first time. The world number 18 is up a place in the live list thanks to his wins over Alexander Shevchenko and the 20th seed Francisco Cerundolo. Like his opponent, he is yet to drop a set in this tournament. A win over Tabilo will take him into his second clay court quarter-final of the year. He made the last eight in Monte Carlo, losing in three sets to Jannik Sinner. The Russian is two places ahead of Tabilo in the Live Race but will be overtaken by him if he loses this match. He won his only previous match against the Chilean but that was two years ago and played on grass. Tabilo is in great form and we tip him to win this match.
